Overview
Our Digital CPD framework has been created to help all developers and engineers know what is expected of them and what they need to do to further their careers at AprilSix.
There are currently 2 core pathways which can split into multiple tracks dependent upon the individual.

All roles are given a level, which indicates how they compare to other roles within different pathways. Different pathways offer alternative tracks once reaching specific levels which enables employees to aim for the direction they want to head in.
You can look at the pathways with your line manager, along with the role descriptions to help give a full picture of what each role requires

The skills matrix is shared between all digital pathways and allows for flexibility per individual and role within the digital department.
In order to be eligible for promotion, you must be able to demonstrate and evidence the appropriate levels consistently. You will be responsible for recording your own CPD diary with achievements, qualifications and evidence of any of the skills. These will be supplemented and validated by your line manager from their perspective too.
As your level increases, previous levels become pre-requisites for the next level (e.g. to reach level 3, you’d be expected to also be demonstrating level 2 and 1 skills).
The skills are broken into 5 categories:
- CT Core Technical
- ST Specialist Technical
- PE People
- PM Process & Methodologies
- PR Professional
